What can I expect from a counselling session?

At your counselling session, you will be greeted with the utmost empathy and understanding. We will ask you about your concerns and what your needs are. We assure you complete privacy in helping you through your situation.

What types of clients do you work with?

We work with many diverse people from all walks of life in different types of relationships - heterosexual, same sex, monogamous, polyamorous, and LBGTIQA+.

Where do you work with clients? (In-person, Online)

We work with couples and individuals both in person, in our counselling room, and online via Zoom or Skype.  It is very simple and easy to do sessions online, and we give instructions on how to do this.

Will counselling be worth my time and money?

Yes.  Having a third party present significantly improves effective communication and lowers distress levels.  It has been noted by New York Times having couple therapy increases success up to 90%.

What happens when I first call you?

We are friendly and empathic. We will answer your questions and concerns, and explain the process, should you wish to book in a counselling session.  Note: You do NOT need to explain the problem over the phone.

How many counselling sessions is typical?

You didn’t get into this predicament overnight, so realistically you can expect to have 3-6 sessions before you feel you have made progress and learnt some different strategies so you can move forward with ease and clarity, either together, or apart. 

Who do I have a counselling session with?

If you are a couple or a male, you will see Robert J. He is a registered relationship counsellor and therapist (PACFA & ACRC) and is very experienced working with couples and individuals.

If you are a female, and you wish to attend by yourself, you have the option to choose to see Foxxy E. She is very experienced in coaching, mentoring and energy-healing work to quickly get to the ‘heart’ of the matter.

What do you do with my personal information and how is it protected?

We record basic information, such as name, address, email and phone, and these are kept in a secure CRM system. You can be assured we do not give out your details to anyone. The only exception would be under a subpoena for legal reasons, which would be a rare instance.

How do you create a safe space for us/me?

You can be rest assured that we create a safe and supportive space for you to feel comfortable… and we don’t take sides, or judge, because we have been where you are, and we are here to help you see a clear pathway forward.

What are your qualifications?

Robert J is a registered counsellor and therapist (PACFA & ACRC) and has been working with men and women for 18 years.

Foxxy E is a qualified master coach, NLP practitioner & trainer and experienced in many energy-healing modalities, and has been working with women since 2010.

Do you have any guarantees?

Yes. If you are not satisfied with your counselling session, you can ask for a refund immediately after your session.

Do you offer any special rates for financial hardship?

Yes.  Just ask us.

Can I claim relationship counselling on Medicare?

No, unfortunately marriage and relationship counselling are not covered by Medicare. Working with couples is very different from individual counselling and requires a special skill set.
NB: When referred to a psychologist on a mental health care plan, the information you provide becomes part of the public domain, and this may compromise your health insurance.
